The Career Development Center is the hub for career education, resources, and experiential learning opportunities at Emerson College. Our office offers students and alumni a variety of services including but not limited to resume & cover letter reviews, interview preparation, and individual career counseling.
The Career Development Center at Emerson College offers specialized services to meet the career aspirations of BIPOC students. With an Assistant Director for Career Access and Equity, the center emphasizes empowering students to bring their authentic selves to the workplace. The center provides tailored counseling for international students, focusing on helping them navigate the complexities of career development in a new cultural context. The aim is to connect students with workplaces where they feel valued and where their individual needs are met, promoting equity and inclusion in their professional journeys.

The Student Employment Office oversees Federal Work Study opportunities which is a need-based, federally subsidized award for part-time employment, which is administered by the College, as well as General Student employment which offers a wonderful opportunity to defray the cost of education while gaining marketable skills and valuable work experience. Students who do not receive a Federal Work Study award are still eligible to apply for on-campus employment opportunities.
