Our experienced team of professional advisors help undergraduate students create academic plans so that they can make the most of their time on campus and efficiently achieve their educational goals. Students at Emerson have diverse options when it comes to course selection, and our dedicated advisors ensure that each student can make the informed decisions necessary for a fulfilling academic experience. We connect students to the wide array of college-wide resources so that they can chart the best path forward on their academic journey. We also facilitate the mentorship provided by faculty advisors—relationships that often last long after graduation.

Emerson College believes communication and the arts are fundamental to the growth of society. Our graduate programs are designed to help you develop the professional and research skills necessary for leadership in the communications and arts fields.

The WARC supports Emerson community members by providing personalized strategies for academic success. Our mission is to develop confident and independent writers and learners by providing resources for intellectual growth and academic support. Through one-on-one meetings, our professional staff, Writing Consultants, English Language Learning Consultants, and Academic Success Consultants will work with you to create pathways toward success on campus.

WARC professional staff can interface with you remotely in a variety of ways, including through phone appointments, online teleconferencing with Zoom, and via email. Our staff specialists can be contacted directly to schedule appointments for support plan development. Appointments can be made with consultants through the self-access scheduling system on our website for the following:

• help with writing support for specific assignments;
• English language enhancement;
• study skills, time management; and
• plagiarism avoidance development.

All appointments are free and available to current graduate and undergraduate students at the College. The WARC also provides a wealth of self-access development tools and educational resources on our self-enrollment Canvas courses. Course content support for undergraduates is also available through our Peer Tutoring Program. Please visit us online for more information and for access to all that we offer.

The Office of the Registrar manages academic records, certifies student enrollment, and issues transcripts and diplomas. Additionally, we evaluate transfer credits, confirm graduation eligibility, schedule classrooms, and create the academic calendar.

The Student Care and Support Office receives referrals from students, faculty, staff, etc. about students of concern. The Office works with key partners on campus to provide support for those students with a goal of helping them succeed academically and personally.

Students may encounter obstacles or difficulties associated with college life—academic, financial, personal, interpersonal, or wellness—or simply seek greater connection and support. Emerson has fantastic resources designed to address the holistic needs of students.

We provide a holistic perspective on student success, encompassing positive outcomes for both students and Emerson College.

We empower students by translating their academic and personal aspirations into tangible actions with individualized guidance and an extensive network of resources.
