The Speech Lab at Emerson College is dedicated to empowering students with the skills and confidence needed to excel in speeches, presentations, and communication-focused courses. Our mission is to support all students in becoming effective and self-assured communicators by offering personalized guidance and practical resources.

Through one-on-one consultations, our Speech Lab Consultants work with you to develop your presentation skills, whether it’s for class assignments, public speaking engagements, or personal growth. We offer both walk-in consultations and scheduled appointments to accommodate your needs, along with specialized workshops throughout the semester.

We host Fur Fridays, where students can de-stress and boost their confidence in a relaxed environment with therapy dogs!

We also host targeted workshops on topics such as overcoming speech anxiety, impromptu speech giving, conversational English, and more, designed to meet diverse student needs and provide practical, hands-on experience.

All services are free and available to current Emerson students. Consultations can be booked through our online scheduling system, and additional resources are available on our dedicated webpage.
