The WARC supports Emerson community members by providing personalized strategies for academic success. Our mission is to develop confident and independent writers and learners by providing resources for intellectual growth and academic support. Through one-on-one meetings, our professional staff, Writing Consultants, English Language Learning Consultants, and Academic Success Consultants will work with you to create pathways toward success on campus.

WARC professional staff can interface with you remotely in a variety of ways, including through phone appointments, online teleconferencing with Zoom, and via email. Our staff specialists can be contacted directly to schedule appointments for support plan development. Appointments can be made with consultants through the self-access scheduling system on our website for the following:

• help with writing support for specific assignments;
• English language enhancement;
• study skills, time management; and
• plagiarism avoidance development.

All appointments are free and available to current graduate and undergraduate students at the College. The WARC also provides a wealth of self-access development tools and educational resources on our self-enrollment Canvas courses.
